open letter to..... CARLOS TEVEZ

Dear Carlos,

Oh Carlos, what a mess.  You came to training today - I saw you on Sky.  One of the backroom staff was play acting with you - no one else was really bothered....  Look at this,

Sheikh  Mansour - owner, yes Carlos, owner of your employers Manchester City Football Club.  He allowed you to leave your last football club and payed you an emormous amount of money to put the ball in the net once in a while.  You might want to be grateful to this man.

Garry Cook and Khaldoon Al Mubarak - these two have been put in control of the day to day running of Manchester City Football Club.  You dont have to like these two.  You dont have to speak to these two.

Roberto Mancini - this is your first line manager, the Manager of Manchester City Football Club.  This man works out the team tactics, with his team of backroom staff and coaches.  He then tells his players how he wants them to play.  This is his decision and the results are judged to be on his head.  He gave you the captains armband.

This is where you "live"

This is the shirt you should wear with pride

These are your team mates........

These are the people that come a watch you every week, that cheer your every move, little children that idolise you, even though you played for the enemy, you are, sorry were one of us.

This is my partner Ian, a Newcastle supporter from a child, through thick and thin.  He watches City with me, gets very passionate about City - as you can see.

This is the future of our club....

This may be the future of our club - Daniel Alves de Silva.....

GET LOST CARLOS

We have reached the summit..... well sort of

I wonder what Roberto is saying to Avram????  Maybe..... "Chris Hughton will have your job next week"!

Man City have now reached the summit of the Premiership.... well done to all, especially Roberto Mancini who brings a little bit of Italiano to rainy, cold Manchester.

Technology

Since starting my blog, I have become less of a technophobe than I was previously.  In the beginning I didn't even know how to convert a photo on my camera to my blog!!!

Just to share with you, now I very rarely take photo's on my camera and now nearly always take them on my Blackberry.  Blackberry?  Yes, Blackberry - you heard it right.  I now take the photo on the camera, email it to my relevant email account and convert it to the laptop!!!!  Wow, that is such a thing for me.  I even get all my emails on my phone..... I am at last self sufficient.

MIKE THE CLOWN, MAYBE OR MAYBE NOT?

Depending on your opinion about whether Mike Ashley (owner of Newcastle United Football Club) had good grounds to sack Chris Hughton - the Manager who probably saved Newcastle from the double dip or relegation two seasons on the bounce - will now form part of your opinion as to whether he did the right thing.  You might care or you might not.  Personally I don't really care who manages Newcastle, but I do care that a man who comes over as well rounded, kind, compassionate to players who have problems etc. has ended up without a job...

Mr Ashley has said that he wants a Manager with more experience.....  watch this space.

I love this picture.  I have reproduced it from my lovely daughters blog.  It is well worth a read at http://www.amezzeray.com/.

WELL ITS BEEN A WHILE

I haven't blogged in ages.  I have carried on reading the blogs I follow but to be honest have not really had anything to say until now.

We are, at the moment, gripped into a cold spell of weather in the UK.  Look at my back garden.....

All the lovely birds that we enjoy in our garden have had to fend for themselves a little more and have found finding food very difficult.  They have needed a little help.

On the inside we are all gearing up for Christmas.  Our little one is three this year so she fully understands the meaning of Christmas....... presents, presents, presents, food, chocolate.

As far as I am concerned, I am busy with the girls, putting decorations up, dressing the tree and generally making the house look lovely for christmas.  I am also having success in rearing another round of flowers on my orchids.  They are lovely.

this one is a particular favourite of mine, simply beautiful.

My little one decided that as it was cold outside she would wear her hat all day... literally, even in front of a lovely warm glowing fire, she also decided she would wear her dolls bib, perhaps she is trying to tell me she in hungry!

UNITITLED

Not really sure where to start with this one..... it's been ages since I last posted and I must must get back into the habit of updating, finding interesting things to talk about etc.... my eldest daughter puts me to shame, visit her blog at http://www.amezzeray.com/ and see her fantastic posts there.

I suppose over the past few weeks life has been taken over by politics!!!! a funny thing to say I suppose but living in the UK at the moment means a lot of changes.  The current ConDem Government seem to blame all lifes ills on the previous government, even though globally, life is tough.  Reading the Internet, looking at the papers and listening to the media makes one feel "shaky" about the future of this wonderful country.  My daughter at University, will she get a job after her studies?

Anyhow, back to my life at home with the children.  Ian is away at the moment, in Turkey, with work.  He went today.  Our little one does not understand why he is not around at bedtime (he does bathing and bedtime story every night so she is a very spoilt little girl, having daddy to herself all the time).  She seems excited that we are going "bed" and "shoe" shopping tomorrow!

MY ORCHIDS

They are doing wonderfully.  The one pictured below was heading for the compost heap!  We gave it one last go, pruned it back and look...... it has more flowers on it than it did originally.

It was also my little girls birthday, she reached the grand old age of 9!!!!  She enjoyed a trip to the bowling and a meal with friends then the day after we had a family party.  She had a great time......

My big birthday girl in her special outfit from Grandma and Grandad.....

AN UPDATE

I have been working on several knitting projects so have not had time to blog..... (excuses)

A friend of mine has had a delicious little boy and I have been knitting him some full length pants (photos to follow) and a relative of Ian's is having a little girl any day so I have been knitting for her too.

It has been a busy couple of weeks media wise and there are lots going on in the world.... a snapshot,

Nick and Dave are gearing up for a backlash from the Unions over their impending spending cuts.  Oh dear, what a depressing place to live at the moment.

The Pope's visit.  Not sure whether I agree with the Pope having a "State" visit.  This visit was arranged by the former Goverment - reasons not given - and honoured by our current Government - cause they were too scared to put a stop to it, even though they are making cuts left, right and centre, they deem it ok to spend an enormous amount of money on this visit.  This is a visit to a country where the majority of the people ARE NOT catholic!!!  Conclusion: I must be a Nazi because I don't believe in the drivel that the Pope comes out with about condoms, HIV, pornography, women not being priests oh and his opinion about priests who abuse children..... move them on to abuse even more children. (end of rant)

The coffee machine that blew up in a Sainsbury store south of the Watford Gap - this was strange, perhaps someone thought the Pope was having a latte in the cafe - no, all joking apart, I visited Costa Coffee, as I usually do on a Saturday morning, to find myself taking a back step when the coffee was being made.

Oh and Rooney - well poor old Colleen, she has forgiven him - silly moo moo.
