THANK YOU DARLING

This week has been very challenging for me, without my other half due to work committments. But he was still thinking about me and sent me this lovely bouquet of flowers.

RECRUITING EARLY

This is my youngest daughter, recruited to the City Fan Club. Oh what a day, We celebrated with chocolate! This 4 - 2 win against the mighty Chelsea was, well mighty! Anticipating what could have been a rout when Chelsea scored, Carlos, the brilliant Argentinian, saved us by scoring just before half time. Still a little shakey over the half time period and expecting to lose, the second half started well for us and Chelsea could not cope with the play or the hype regarding the Terry/Bridge situation. Wayne Bridge displayed a great deal of character and the heart of a lion, being booed and hissed at throughout the game. Wayne, we all love you and respect you. Well done!!!

Well done to the Chelsea fans for spurring us onto this famous win. We love you.

Well done to Newcastle for winning and remaining top of the Championship and to the nearly desperate Stockport County for also winning.

..... AND THE BERET .....

JOLLY CROFTER

Well, this will be the first image that I have posted on my blog. As I previously spoke about, Crofter DK seems to have really got into my imagination and I find myself thinking about all the lovely garments/crafty things that would look great. It comes in several colour combinations. Here is one, work in progress........

MY OTHER HALF

My other half, the one missing all this week, is a very talented photographer, photographing mostly trains (his major passion - apart from me and the children, I hope). He is also a member of several deserving causes, train related. He is also working on several new projects. You might like to look at his website, http://www.imagesoftranport.co.uk/ and his blogs http://www.imagesoftransport.blogspot.com and www.trainsandlessimportantthings.blogspot.com. Let him know what you think.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Well this half of the term enters the Spring. There are the first flowers of spring on a rose bush in my front garden. Two perfectly formed pink roses that can be seen from the front window - lovely.

I woke this morning to sheer chaos, getting the children off to school, in their different directions. Just me and my lovely baby daughter today. She is a lovely baby, well not a baby really, toddler I suppose. She has a lovely personality, but today, she has been very clingy and tactile. She wants her daddy but alas, he is away all week with work so that leaves us both in the same boat really!!!

I have sorted through all my knitting patterns and filed them in a reasonable order. Checked on my stocks of wool. My darling eight year old has just started sewing at school. She is really taken with it, so much so, she now has a collection of nearly every colour of embroidery thread and some canvas to sew on. Her interest in this has sparked an old interest of mine in embroidery which I can carry forward to my craft making (I will go through all the crafts that I have done and the ones I haven't yet got round to in future posts. As this is a new blog, I am sure I'm allowed a couple of ramblings before I get into my crafty loves!!!!)

I must say though that I have found a lovely knitting yarn. Baby Crofter DK. It replicates a lovely fairisle pattern - my next post might even include a picture of some of the lovely items I have made out of this yarn.

WELL I MADE IT!!!!!

WELL I DID MAKE IT ....... I have been making my creations for months now, showing my finished products to my family and waiting for their feedback!

This is the next step in my future with crafting and blogging, my very first post!!!

It has been interesting even getting to the right page to start the writing! First of all, I forgot my password to log on. This is a daily occurance, with life as it is and thirty or so passwords to remember, this day, this one was the forgotten one!!!

Funny, there is so much to say on the art of crafting, but so little time to sit at my dining room table, laptop in front of me ...... but dinner to cook, two year old to entertain and tomorrow to plan..... I guess thats life...
